This shot was taken recently by yours truly. :) Thought it had potential for arty manipulations.

Westport is a "fishing town" in the state of Washington on the Pacific Ocean, about 50 miles west of Olympia.

Have fun...

Danny, a really good shot! You had a nice clear day to catch all that detail in the rigging! Thanks for the play

Very nice picture Danny...I wish I could take them as good. The trick: Shoot a lot of pics & never show the bad ones! :)

Seriously, thank you both of you for your kind words.

I liked how this BW interpretation turned out...

Amen to that. But I do find that the "bad" ones sometimes turn out better when they are painted. Gorgeous photo BTW.

Me too!!! Love what you did for contrast and lighting. Did you do this in CS3 or with the channel mixer in your previous version?

Beautiful shot Danny. There are some very nice versions so far.

I used several Lucis Art filters, and then added paper texture. I also used several layers of Trimoon preset watercolor layers in overlay mode for soft color interest.

Gorgeous photo BTW...Love what you did for contrast and lighting. Thanks...

Did you do this in CS3 or with the channel mixer in your previous version? Still on PS7... See screengrab of Layer's palette. It's based on a nifty (and free) BW plugin from www.Photocamel.com (http://www.Photocamel.com). Signup req'd (free).

Some great photowork in the various forums. Downloads/plugins:
