View Full Version : Elephant Ears lcramer53 09-14-2007, 04:14 PM One more from my neighbor's gardens, the 'elephant ears' plant. Hope you can have some fun!
For my rendition, I used glowing edges, inverted layer, some different blend modes, AHB, separate layer for white "frame" and I think that's all that I did to end up with the 2nd picture. lkroll 09-14-2007, 07:05 PM Crop to keep Danny happy; here (http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/1017/eleears1wv4.jpg)'s the complete rendering. :) lcramer53 09-14-2007, 08:02 PM What a refreshing perspective, lkroll, it makes me feel like I almost wish that summer wasn't coming to an end! For me, you really zoned in on the subject. Beautiful! palms1 09-16-2007, 01:54 PM Nice photo Susie shame the frosts will be with us soon and we will loose the plants in the garden
Palms lcramer53 09-16-2007, 02:29 PM Palms, I always look forward to your renditions of anyone's pics, it's more than your just knowing how to do different techniques, you really have an "eye" for how to improve a photo and make it so much more attractive. I'm a big fan of your style.
Oh, and after the dreadful heat this summer, I am looking SOoo forward to the frosty days of winter!:cold: <-- they need to make an ice cube smiley with a happy smile!
P.S. What's the "page 25"? palms1 09-16-2007, 03:03 PM Thank you Susie not sure about having the eye i just like messing around
Our weather is all over the place we dont seem to get "seasons" now we have had a really bad summer and who knows what winter will bring
"page 25" was to try and give the illusion of a page from a illustration book ( bit of a lazy attempt really ) :)
Palms lcramer53 09-17-2007, 09:28 AM Palms, the "page 25" was really convincing! That's why I asked, because I thought I was losing my mind:dizzy: . If you would have added torn edges, like you ripped it out of a magazine or something, I would have thought I was in the Twilight Zone. Really cool!! :) Kraellin 09-18-2007, 01:09 PM another nice pic, susie. i'm just not buying 'luck of the photographer' any more, though :)
had a go with it. some airbrushing, blend modes, a threshold layer, more blends and a 'clarify' at the end. lcramer53 09-18-2007, 06:27 PM I really like that, Craig. Actually,I'm going to play with your technique on my original and if it turns out, have it printed. It would look nice in our guest room. Mchilly 09-18-2007, 08:35 PM Nice photo Susie shame the frosts will be with us soon and we will loose the plants in the garden
