If the image on the left is the original, I'm not too keen on the one on the right. Just not my style.

If the one in the right is the original, awesom job of recovering shadow detail.

For future ref, we prefer images to be uploaded instead of links. Uploads last forever; links always eventually break.

Too dark, to flat. Looks like a wax figure. JMHO.

If your going for a dark, mystyrious , almost illustrated/painted look I think you did a good job. The shirt IMO needs to be darkened some more, so it matches the face more (face looks like it was lit with a candle, yet the shirt is brighter) I would also try and lighten up the skin tone some, he looks very brown.
