anyone seen this guy on flickr called kriskros, i just came across his hdr images and WOW! i've done a few hdr images using photmatix but i really don't understand how he gets his pictures to look the way they do, the sky so blue the colors so vivid! reminds me a bit of dave hill style. anyone know what he does cos these aren't just hdr pics they have got other things going on in them too? thanx in advance!

also if you go to the hdr pool and put tutorials in the search you will get quite a few come up but sadly not Kris's ( just as well really as i need to upgrade pc and software before i can join in the real fun )

used qtpfsgui create the HDR and tonemap it from 1 dng and some photoshop softlight layers to get this result

Frankly speaking - i have seen tons of work from various artists like this before. Its a combination of using both Lucis Art and HDR tool like Photomatix.
The trick of course is to start with a good image!
