Wow- I stumbled upon this site and sign on- OK you Pros. Can I do anything to correct my absolute blunder! I do not know what I was thinking.

My settings were all off ISO between 400 and 800 at a two day- 10 band photo shoot most pics came out with -what I will term LSD effect.

I was using Photoshop trial ran out I have irfanview and gimp or pictureit 9

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I only have Photoshop so I can't help you on the other programs but they most likely have the same or similar tools.
In Photoshop selectt the entire Blue channel and copy and paste it on top of the background layer. Change the Blend mode of that layer from Normal to Luminosity. Now add a new blank layer on top of the last layer and change its blend mode to Color. With a soft brush, sample the color adjacent to a damaged area (like the part of the shirt which is blue). Then paint over the adjacent areas which are orange. Painting on this color layer you will be able to clean up almost the entire image. You will need to do a little cloning to patch in the parts of the bike that have been obliterated.
