View Full Version : Did ya miss me? Swampy 09-18-2007, 01:00 PM Hi, All
I'm just back from my son's wedding in California. It was a lovely (albeit expensive! - Glad I am on the groom's expense side!) wedding. Harpist, dove release, carriage rides, dinner for 200+, flowers everywhere, honeymoon to Paris and London. I'll just drop a quick photo here. If you want to see the full album or QuickTime slide show you can at my home page (http://www.deedeespage.com) then link to "Swampy's Neck of the Woods"

Palms Swampy 09-18-2007, 02:33 PM Thank you, Palms. That horse was huge!! I think I would be more comfortable in the white antique Rolls Royce though. LOL
Did you see those sparklers for the grand "exit"? I've never seen ones so BIG! And if you like flowers, OMG! They draped the gazebo, large arrangements on every table and they just seemed to be everywhere. Must have cost a fortune! Glad I was on the groom's "expense" list. Palms Janet Petty 09-19-2007, 06:49 AM Congratulations on many levels, not the least of which is being on the groom's side. :) :)
I get to go through the wedding thing finale on Saturday. My daughter is getting married. I'm lucky, however, she is being very practical--even making her own bouquet.
Janet Swampy 09-19-2007, 08:30 AM Oh, Janet! You are so lucky to have a cost conscious daughter. Weddings are soooooo expensive as it is.
Best wishes to the bride and groom and you and your family. Enjoy and take a hankie. :-) palms1 09-19-2007, 08:39 AM Best wishes to the bride and groom and you and your family. Enjoy and take a hankie. :-)
Ditto what Swampy says but i would add make sure you are wearing a pair of comfy shoes ! ! ! ! ! !
And have some smelling salts ready for when the photo's come back and you see the price ! ! !
( a album of 12 7x5 prints of my sons wedding in a album would cost £200 for us to have, They obviously paid more for there album )

Thanks Dee Dee and Palms. I didn't mean to hijack your thread. I just wanted to commiserate.
I know the photographer. We worked out a deal. I KNOW exactly to the penny how much it will cost. You see, I'm doing all of the post processing and printing cost is up to who ever wants prints.
Thanks for the hankie hint. I planned on a box of tissues but didn't have pockets in my dress for them.
