I took these of our local campus this morning. I ran an infrared filter from Imagenomic realgrain.

Klautt... what a gorgeous photo! And if this is any indication of the view from your window, LUCKY you! Simply stunning and a wonderful watercolor project!

Basically used my watercolor technique. Used Facet a few times to "muck up" the pixels. Shifted the colors slightly with Curves. Added some sky and clouds. For the B/W softlight layer, I used levels to lighten then selective dodge and burn.

Painted with watercolor history brush, Duped and set dupe to multiply. Added texture.

Thanks for the wonderful play!

Klautt, this photo is absolutely beautiful! Reminds me of the grounds at Trent U. (about 20+ yrs. ago). Thanks so much for sharing.

Swampy, I love the colors and your texture!

For me, I duped the bg at multiply for blend mode and masked out all of the sunlit areas to retain brightness. Duped original bg again and I think that I did a watercolor in Impressionist and then added texture.

Susie, that has a very "early morning" feel. Nice.

Michel, very nice!

Swampy, no matter how much I "intend" to brighten up a picture, it always turns out so dark! I'm beginning to wonder if I'm depressed or something . But, I really am a big fan of yours and Palm's styles in particular; always so bright and refreshing. One of these days, when I have some time, I'm going to make a concerted effort to study both yours and Palm's techniques.

Anyway, wanted to give this one another try and try to brighten it up and make it more cheerful.

Thanks but the DIRECTION of the light was wrong DUH so moved the sun here lol.

I'm a Disneyland freak..... would love to fill it with different colors/night lights, good weekend project.

Haven't been to Disneyland for many moons sadly but I do visit some sites and love looking at pics.
Takes me back in time, srry for rambling so.

Summerz... My son works for Disney in Burbank. Thing that gets me about going to WDW or DL is the music. Everywhere in the parks. When you come out it just seems so quiet. LOL

Great sunset!

Swampy,
I recall reading on your website that he works for Disney.
That is so cool.
I'm hoping to make it back there someday,,,I gotta ride that Matterhorn I was too chicken to when I was little lol. And I can drag Hubby along with me.
Till then I get my Disney fix at Visions Fantastic (http://www.visionsfantastic.com/forum/index.php) and Micechat.

Palms, that is really nice. I've noticed that your last couple watercolors were much less "photographic". Are you using Buzz or some other "pixel pusher" method to muck up the photo before painting? What ever you're doing, it's really lovely.

I am using just straight forward smartblur ! maybe pushing it a bit further than normal, the other thing a bit different has been as ps7 dosnt have a shadow/hightlight filter, i have used a action ( atncentral) for this as the pictures (for me) have seem a bit dark and shadowy
