Hello everyone - I am intrigued by your method of color corrections with gradient maps. I made a 4x6" target print with 25%, 50%, and 75% black as suggested. However, I don't want a picture of the target print in the scene. Could I shoot two pictures of a scene, one with the target and one without, and then later in Elements color correct the picture using gradient maps, and then somehow move that correction into the picture without the target print? You show a way of doing this under Adjusting Color Balance.

You can put it in at the edge of the photo and that works best. You CAN put it in the photo, but you want to be sure you are not using auto-exposure or it won't be accurate at all.

OK?
