A new children's video came out recently called Island Princess (Barbie). I am attempting to create something similar for my little 5 year old grandaughter as the princess. (She was wearing a fairy costume when I took her photo). I've got the background burst effect finished, however, I'm having a real buggar of a time finding a tutorial that will teach me how to create a really good flowering vine as the one illustrated on the Island Princess box. With the vast number of brilliant and talented folks that frequent this website, I wondered if anyone had seen any tutorials on this subject, if there are downloads of flowering vines somewhere or if this is just a pipe dream.
Thanks,
PJ

The flowering vine might well have been hand drawn or created in Maya (third party). I'm not familiar with the Island Princess stuff nor have I seen the box. Got a scan of a portion of it. I might also have been done with some of the decorative brushes available on the web.

If you want brushes there are some vine brushes here
http://fractured-sanity.org/index.php?id=4&navi=2&site=nature2
or some leaves etc here
http://seishido.biz/seishido.html
(check the freeware as well as the ones you pay for )
check the usage out. but i think you are ok so long as not using for business purposes
there are some other links in the library for other brushes
So i guess my granddaughters will be after the book dvd etc for xmas

I found the brush sets and I think they will work well with what I have planned. I'm not, at this point, very talented with the pen tool and/or vector drawings in Photoshop (it's very frustrating), but coloring and shading the pre-drawn brushes will be easy enough. Thank you so much for your assistance.
One more thing. I'm also in need of some cute little "Disney type" animals. My last resort would be to scan something, make a few changes to avoid copyright infringement (not that my 5 year old grandaughter would care), but having pre-drawn brushes sure would speed things up a lot. Any ideas?
By the way, you guys are awesome!
