Kind of a "busy" image, but something different to work on.

Have fun.

...layer properties. Yes it's a Neimanesque rendering (everytime I see sports, I think Leroy Neiman). If you click here (http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/6561/rp20basketball20jumpshoqc1.jpg), you will see the complete rendering. Attached is a slightly lower quality crop. :)

Hey thanks man!

You had a great idea to lighten up the BG a bit. It's such a busy photo that lightening it helps to bring out the main focus of the image. Nice.

Some great work here.
Kiska, I have to single yours out - you really slam-dunked it.
Mine is a CS2-Painter-CS2 effort. I thought the background was busy, too, so I got rid of it.
Looking at it now I kinda wish I'd kept the ref. Oh, well.

Haven't done a sports shot in a while- may work on it a bit more when I have time. Thanks Danny!

Wow... you guys and gals rock. Glad you're enjoying this one.

I was all over the place... convert to BW and mess with blend modes on the 1st one, applied Photoshop action I wrote on the 2nd and isolated rectangular sections and added drop shadow and stroke layer styles on the last.

So many options, so little time! :)
