I used a soften brush on the picture by accident and lost some contour in the cheeks. Can anyone use a brush that brings out some natural contour?

I use Burning Tool to bring out the cheeks.

No. That image has not enough resolution, or dynamic range, and faaar too much compression artifacts.

Post a full-res original (with no desaturation) and if that's good enough I could give it a try.

duplicate the layer. Set the top layer to "multiply" blending mode. Apply a hide all mask and then use a soft white brush (play with the opacity) to bring back color in cheeks, lips, outline eyes, etc. Use a blur to blend and lower opacity if needed.

I would make a background copy, do level adjustments to what density you need, then add layer mask. I usually fill with black so I can use paintbrush with white to softly add in the density on the layer mask. email me if you have questions on this process. j3@adams-assoc.com

I don't know what most of you mean when you name these effects. I have PaintShop Pro 8, but not Photoshop so I'm not familar with the tools and I can't do the exact process that's listing here. Can anyone give it a try?
