Hello All,

I'm kinda new here, I just started photo school this semester. I'm in a Digital II advanced Photoshop class...One of our recent assignments was "Image Harvesting" where we had to take 4 images and paste them all into one.

A few drinks with a few friends led to this concept, I'd like to get some feedback from you guys on it. I know it will probably never look totally realistic because of the nature of the photo but what can I do to make it a little better. The 2 people, alleyway, and sign on the telephone pole are all different shots...The motion blur might look a little cheesy? but I like it better with it than without.

No shadows for the two figures, there are shadows in the rest of the picture.

Stands out like a sore thumb.

I have a hard time imagining where the shadows would go because the light sources are coming from many directions...Should I just burn shadows in or actually take their shapes and rotate/warp/feather them and make them into shadows?

Taking the pole in the foreground and the post by the chainlink fence as indicators of light direction for the area of picture where the figures are, I'd say light is coming in from front/left, and shadows should be done accordingly (toward rear/right).

Personally I would try both methods of shadow production and see which gives you the more believable result.
