hi all
dunno if this is the correct forum for this question. I am experimenting with cs3 for the first time (cs user). I can't seem to figure out how to select the pixels on a layer. previously, I used command+click, but that doesn't seem to work in cs3, unless there is a mask on the layer. also, right click gives me no new layer via copy via option.
help?

Still works - command click on the layer thumbnail itself, not on the words or any other area of the layers panel.

This did change slightly at some point, but its more logical like this. Command clicking, (or control clicking if you are peeece,) on the thumbnail loads the transparency. Command clicking on the layer mask thumbnail loads the greyscale layer mask as a selection - different result

command - option j to cut it to a new layer, command j to copy it to a new layer.

don't know the pc translation.

to find or change keyboard shortcuts, find what you want to do using the menu options then open up the keyboard shortcut dialog box edit/keyboard shortcuts (or if you prefer alt+shift+ctrl+k) and find the command you are looking for and change if you prefer.
