I would like your honest opinions on this picture please. The one shadow of the telephone pole they wanted to leave because it looked like a cross. I still am trying to get some of them out of the fencing and the entry. The entry is going to be tough. One good thing is they are printing this on Iron Ons to make pillows so the print quality isn't going to very high. They can be found at the following http://www.k2kgraphics.com/sbc/sbc.html

Hi Rob
I don't see any obvious mistakes and I really like the way you left the shadow of the telephone pole that looks like a cross. Good job.

Looks good to me, I would also change the top of the cross (the shadow) so that the perspective is the same as the top of the roof.

what about the shadow from the pole casting on the grass and onto the building. Clone stamp then spot healing brush it? Maybe, maybe not. Worth a try. I couldn't understand why the shadow of the pole was there and nothing else, it blew my mind :D.

good job, I wouldn't change anything. The shadow on the grass makes the shadow on the wall make sense, it shows where the shadow is coming from.

granted it shows where it is coming from...but you got rid of what is making the shadow. Why would it be a good idea to keep the shadow of something you got rid of? Anyone?

Because it looks like a cross.

A cross...... on a church.....

cross....church

Any bells ringing?

oh good point dj...too bad it is a electrical poll and it is obvious it is a poll, and it shows that someone was lazy and didnt remove it from the picture. good job though. but today you get a thumbs down. better luck next time!

You made a good job of removing the pole and cable as you intended.

Funny, I prefer the original as a picture, its is more interesting and has the benefit of the shadowed cross.

Converging verticals - otherwise a pretty good job.

was this a shot for a client, the church etc.?

the effect of the shadow cross if cool, but if this shot was to display the church, then the shadow cross is very distracting, my eye goes right to it instead of the church name.

but if it was just an ordinary photo/art project or something, then it's fine.

nice job, but I think your client is loopy. why would you want to keep a shadow that looks like a cross? I understand its a church, but from a composition standpoint, shadow of pole is very distracting, I would get rid of it.

Great work

I can see why they would like the cross shadow left in being a church but i do agree with the other posters you need what is casting the shadow to be there, tough one this, any chance of posting a image with the pole back in but no cable?
