In Photo Restoration, I posted a problem along with the attachment. After getting good advice, I wanted to post a second attachment, showing the improvement. I had difficulty adding the second attachment to the original post, so I deleted the original post, thinking I'd make a new post with both attachments.

When I tried to attach the original attachment to the new post, however, RPRO said I'd already attached it, this, even tho I deleted the original attachment (I thought.) with the original post. I've also changed the filename, with no luck. I was advised to go to User CP & under Attachments delete the original attachment.

User CP said I had no attachments. So, you can see my dilemma: User CP says I have no attachments, but when I try to attach the original in the new post, RPRO says I already have the attachment.

Can you advise what to do?

Try renaming it.

This is the third time I renamed the file, and it didn't take. I renamed it on two previous occasions & it didn't take then, either. I mentioned in my previous post that I had renamed it, before, with no luck.

Maybe I need to delete this .jpg version, go back & create a new .jpg?

It should only matter by name. Is it over 100k?

This photo was already accepted by RPRO when it was attached to the post that I deleted, so no, the photo was not over 100k.

I've gone back to square one, deleted the photo on my machine & generated a new one, thinking RPRO is identifying the attachment other than by name and file size.

I'll let you know how it turns out.

Starting over with the attachment worked. I have posted the new post in the Restoration forum with both attachments. There must have been something in the original attachment that RPRO "remembered," despite changing the name.

Glad you got it sorted out. Sorry and puzzled about the inconvenience.
