Wow, my second post in one night! I just thought this might be fun for ya'll, especially you "guys" out there. Something different to do. This is a pic of my friend's father's plane during WWII, complete with his Mom's name as the noseart. My retouch is nothing spectacular...just got rid of the box someone had drawn around the name, and fixed the worst of the cracks and smoothed up the background a bit. But I thought it was a neat old picture and wanted to share. Have fun!

Hmmm. Thanks Candice. Don't know what happened but I tried it again and still didn't work. It was only a few KB larger anyway.

what a great, old photo. i may try this one later.

in the meantime, i'd suggest using a hue/sat adjustment on it and bring the saturation down to almost black and white.

Thought this would be of interest to your friend if they do not already have the info..

Tis a "Bonus" from DaOlBaldGuy

BTW. I am still working on your restoration off and on

Wow! Thanks Olbaldy! As far as info, I think he has everything ever written or documented, but I've never seen this particular artwork...did you do this? It's awesome! He has the artwork from this plane on his new motorcycle. Keep me posted on your retouch!

Google is my friend.. I just searched for "Maj Bill Sellers" and up popped, http://www.cbrnp.com/profiles/quarter2/p-61_pacific.htm

:bandit: A little copy/paste, plagiarism and copyright infringement later you get what was presented..

Here is my try at your picture.. I tried to keep the feel sort of original (if it was Sepia Toned) I didn't do much with it because restoration is not my thing.. But, I like playing with Photoshop
