G'day guys,
I would like some assistance in editing the attached photo. I am extremely new to either Arcsoft or photoshop. I have tried playing around with the programs but I get nowhere.
Can some of you shed some ideas as to how I can fix the the photo please? I will greatly appreciate the help.
Cheers,
TxLA

G'day again,
Thanks saby and butch for giving it a go. The photo seems a little ashy and dull. There seems to be to much noise on it maybe a little blurry. So what it is that I am shooting for exactly is a way of clearing all that up. Does that make sense? I'm no pro in all this editing lingo, all I know is that it is a nice picture to print but there is something wrong with it.
What you did butch is amazing!!! Was there really a moon out like that or did you add? Whatever the case is I love it! Can you email me what you did and how please?

Here's my try...... some shadow/highlight, high pass mid tone sharpening,
and Noiseware smoothing.

The picture is really too small to make a lot of corrections on... so just for fun I used parts of the two pictures below and just blended...gald you liked it.

What magical things can be done with technology!
DC, I loved the slimming and airbrushing... Takes me back a couple of years when my face was actually that slim LOL. The effect is great because you took the noise away.
Butch, what you did was mind blowing to me. How you might have done it is beyond my comprehension but I really really really liked it (did I say really).
Now can we cobine the two? LMAO (ahhhh vanity, what a sin)
Cheers,

Hi Littleangel
Combining is very simple in this case…I hope DC does not mind if I use his version with mine as an example.
Just insert DC’s picture over mine as in the example below… Attached a layer mask to this layer and filled the mask with black to hide it.
With a white soft brush I clicked on the mask to make sure it was active then painted over your figure, which revealed DC’s version wherever I painted.
If you reveal too much just switch your brush to black and hide it again.

Cropped away the darker areas of the image. Used level adjustment layer to correct the individual channels. New layer, Gaussian blur with layer mask to bring back the subject. Neat Image @ 50% to smooth. High pass filter @ 50% to sharpen.
