Palms Cassidy 11-18-2007, 05:53 AM Just had to have a play Swampy 11-18-2007, 07:45 AM Very colorful boquet ya got there, Palms. Thanks for the play.
All Photoshop. Pushed pixels around with Filter>Pixelate>Facet. Painted from a history state, did a little dodge and burn then added a texture map. Steve Conway 11-18-2007, 11:40 AM Well, I just had to post something to let Palms know my heart was in it.
Unfortunately I am still trying to get a decent image using Painter Essentials 4.
This is about as good as I have come up with so far.
Unless you are a "brush and palette" person, this is not much of a program. So unless you are, don't waste your money.
Anyway here it is for what it's worth.
Steve C. palms1 11-18-2007, 01:20 PM Cassidy thats a great play
Swampy 10/10 very nice
Steve yes i can see you put your heart there, thanks for the head up on PE4, I occasionally think of branching out but then. I think i am quite happy with what i have at the moment and still learning that so why rock the boat
Palms Janet Petty 11-18-2007, 04:08 PM These are gorgeous folks. And I don't say this lightly as I'm usually very much a wildflower kind of person.
Janet Peter S 11-18-2007, 05:05 PM Such a lot of colours, I tried to keep them all.
I second Janet with her comments, except I'm not a wild flower person.
Peter lkroll 11-19-2007, 01:07 AM You decide. lol
Used Impressionist with Metallic Button preset for this one. Also, I used Irfanview (just found out that Impressionist actually works in Irfanview which is cool; pass this info on to those who have not got it to work in their native editor that is other then Photoshop). Added a hint of glow using Xero's Softmood filter. :) palms1 11-19-2007, 02:39 AM The colours are what drew me to this image super aren't they ! !
nice version Peter, reminds of a style i cant quite put my finger on :blank:
lkroll that is a interesting effect.
another from me
Palms GerryB 11-20-2007, 05:47 PM Here is one with just filters: Texturizer: Sandstone/Glass, Chrome, Plastic Wrap. I added an outline layer (Desaturate, Dupe, Invert, Color Dodge, Minimum) at the top for a little more definition. palms1 11-21-2007, 04:24 AM Here is one with just filters: Texturizer: Sandstone/Glass, Chrome, Plastic Wrap. Very nice Gerry, the frame works really well with this image
Palms GerryB 11-21-2007, 09:40 AM Thank you for the compliment, Palms. I really love flowers. So many kinds and varieties. We have a few roses in our front yard. This is a far cry from what we had in our old house, 30 years ago. When we were there my wife asked me if I would buy her a rose bush. By the time I finished, we had 2 dozen rose bushes in our front yard and no two were the same color. I really enjoyed them. But that was in the days when I could take care of them. Now I have degenerative disk disease, scoliosis and spinal stenosis in my lower back and cannot get around like I used to. The only flowers I can deal with now are on the computer. But they still give me joy. Here mind one done in painter essentials 4 the other AHB palms1 11-21-2007, 01:59 PM Glad to hear you can still enjoy flowers Gerry, Even though i like roses, i don't like all the work that has to go into looking after them, I can t be doing that bad a job though as some of the bushes i do have are 20 years old.
Carb both those are great well done
