It was Danny that gave me the idea to do something in B&W, he's on a roll with it right now.
Now go and enjoy.
Peter Swampy 11-20-2007, 07:49 PM Great photo to play with, Peter! How 'bout some sepia tones?
Desaturate, pushed pixels around then painted with the art history brush and history brush. Added film grain and a touch of texture. lkroll 11-20-2007, 09:25 PM And it's kind of nice to be able to post 200K files now. :) palms1 11-21-2007, 05:32 AM Ah its time I posted something again.

LOL...Guess I just got to thinking of the ancient Clifton Webb movie of the same name when I titled this interpretation.
Nope...didn't use Redfields's. This is a new style from the latest version of Gertrudis Pro, (not out yet.) Have been helping out as a beta tester for this program.
And thanks.

Clifton Webb eh - showing your age there (1948) :oldman:
I thought Redfields, because if you apply it once then again, (Ctrl+f), 2 or 3 times more you can get a very similar effect.
Happy testing.

Good one there Steve you have got him :D Peter has to be older than me as i have never heard of Clifton (and I wasn't even a twinkle in my daddy's eye in 1948)

Don't know if his movies were popular in the U.K. or not.
He made quite a few good ones. "Cheaper By The Dozen", (a true story), is one of my favorites. Also he was in one called "Three Coins in The Fountain" which was filmed in Rome. The fountain was, of course, Trevi.

Well I did have to go and ask my granddad who he was, and I got the date from imdb.

I am too much of a gentleman even to inquire about a lady's age. I would just like to say that, the mistake that was me, also was not twinkling at that time either. (now where is that indignant smiley when you want it)
BTW Palms if you have never heard of him how come you seem to be on first name terms - ahh gotcha
:hurt::shocked::tired:
Peter Photomaster 11-26-2007, 11:39 AM Peter, really like this photo. Thanks. Some really nice interpretations here. This is mine done in Painter with the Impressionist brush. Swampy 11-26-2007, 11:40 AM Oooo... PM love the Painter version! Love the color of the sky. That really adds a lot. |
