View Full Version : Loosing patience fixing myself

I'd like to give these digitals to my Mom for Thanksgiving all nice and cleaned up, but I keep just getting frustrated with some of them, so I'll give the rest up to all of you. I want to keep as much "authenticity" to the photos as possible, so I don't really want them cropped or rotated, just color corrections, getting rid of the scratches, contrast fix, and that sort of thing. I'm just going to link the images to http://www.flickr.com/photos/k4tj3/2051580956/in/photostream/

I wish I could work out some sort of compensation for you guys, but all my money now has to get put aside for car parts (*grumbles about stupid old men who shouldn't be driving any more rear-ending her car*)

P.S. I hope this is the right place put this post, if not, please accept my apologies and have it moved.

Here's my go at it. I had a hard time getting it very sharp, but I did remove the scratches, up the contrast, and get rid of a lot of the noise.

Still driving and carrying insurance, to fix my car, in case I ever become involved in an accident. And I'm sure no one under 60 has ever rear-ended another car.
Remember, in driving and retouching, practice makes perfect. Impatience in both can lead to undesirable results.

I tried another picture. Not a professional retoucher, the picture still has great room for improvement; however, I think there is some improvement.

Seems like cyberspace swallowed my image. Anyway...photo you see doesn't include contrast and level modifications.. :(
