hey all,

having trouble with my masking of hair detail. I just got knockout and I'm not happy at all with results. maybe I'm doing it wrong. suggestions?

never used any 3rd party, but in ps try duping your masked layer, turn bottom copy to multiply, and adjust your 2 masks to make it work smoother, also depends a lot on what background you;re masking from, and apllying it to.

Effective technique depends very much on the background and hair color, and whether the hair is very "fly away" and fine or not. Each image is different. If you have one in particular you are trying to tackle, try uploading a sample here.

like previously mentioned there a lot of ways to mask and and which is better depends o the image itself....

Russel brown has a nice video tutorial on channel masking.. and hair is a major part of that....
