That’s a great image! I really like the overall feel, but I definitely agree with saby.
I find my eye is drawn more towards the bright background, and the guitarist doesn’t stand out as well as he could. Just an idea, would adding a bit of blur to the background help?

thx for all your comments.
i adjusted the contrast by brightening the background and not putting contrast anywhere else.
then i made a new mask for the axeman, changed the foodsteps, ad some vignette and kinda add some final polish.
about the "power of the third", my basic composition was based on the golden ratio and even tho i tried a new field of crop, i came back to my original composition
so thats the final one now: http://thehyenasden.blogspot.com/2007/11/guitar-hero.html

personally, I prefer the dark blues as opposed to the aqua marines, but then I am old

Nice comp but the subject would be better off taking up more of the image there is too much sky in my opinion.

i know i still have to put some effort into the face but considering the really bad base-image i'm pretty happy with what came out :)

When doing work like this, rule number one is to match up lighting scenarios.
I mean, in the one with the chair especially, your shadowing is completely opposite of where the sun is in the sky.
