Hello everyone! I just recently started dabbling with Painter X and I'm having so much fun with it that I want to learn how to use it properly. That's how I found this forum/community - by googling things Corel Painter X forums. I'm looking forward to getting to know people in here and to learning from everyone.

Eventually I want to be profficient enough so that I know what I'm doing and that every image I create will have a PURPOSE. I don't believe in retouching/photoshop/painter/etc. unless the image can be enhanced using digital tools.

Below is my first attempt at Painter X using one of my photographs. All comments/CC welcomed!

Welcome Greg...

I just spent several minutes surfing your site. You do some inspiring wedding work. I especially like how you have integrated the BW shots in the gallery slide shows.

Based on your first shot at using Painter to achieve this dreamy effect, I predict with confidence you will soon be adding "digital paintings" to your spendid photo offerings.

Continued success as you explore and discover the infinite possibilities achievable with Painter.
