Hi everyone,

It's taken me a long time to get here, but 50 years after getting my first camera (a Brownie 127 !) and over 40 years since being offered a place at art school to do photography (which I was unable to accept :-( ), at last I'm making a (small) living and having a ball behind the camera.

In the main I create images of people and the people love my images :-). But I'm never satisfied so I'm here to learn, push myself and, if I get the chance to give something back, well that will be just great.

I'm looking forward to exploring the site, meeting people here and exchanging thoughts with other people who are passionate about image making.

I guess from your post that you are in Holmfirth I have visited there lovely place (maybe one day you could post a photo of it in the photo to art forum for us to artify ) Also you will find there are a few other yorkshire people here

Many thanks for the welcome and yes - I live in the hills near Holmfirth.

I'll have to look through my past images and see what I can come up with. At the moment, when I'm not photographing people, I'm having a bit of an 'antiquity' phase - lots of old things and quite often with a bit of delapidation - peeling paint and all that sort of thing.
