I did intend to write a follow up tutorial for a colour picture. However there are already several tutorials on this. And I thought I would just be repeating methods.

A colour image can be treated exactly the same as a B&W to repair the luminosity.
This tutorial explains how to put the colour back once the luminosity is repaired

Thank you for the tutorials!

I tried the Color Cast by Numbers for my photo and had problems with setting the gray point but I think the end results were still very nice!

We all have this problem. Things which you expect to be grey (like paving stones, clouds etc) cannot always be guaranteed to be grey because they can take on colour from reflected areas. Professional photographers add a grey card to their test shots which gives them a definite grey point.

With your posted image the blue channel is damaged which is causing the yellow cast

I used channel mixer to repair it by mixing in some red and green

Channel mixer > Blue Channel
Red 26
Green 44
Blue 44

Then I added a levels adjustment
Black point > top left corner
White Point > Bottom Right Shelf
Grey Point > Girls Jacket

The girl looked a little dark so I added another selective level and slid the middle slider to 2.18

Hi RubyKate,

Photoshop tries to help us out, and sometimes it succeeds all on its own.

Crop the outer white part from the image - with your rectangular marquee tool make a selection in the image. I did part of the bunnies face and included your daughter's head and shoulder area in the selection - Open the levels dialogue box and hit the auto button - go back to the mask next to the levels adjustment layer and ctrl click the mask - viola! There are still some adjustments to do regarding the yellowish areas on the bunnies ears and your daughters face, but you are now in a pretty good position to fix those minor flaws.
