This one is pretty good. Drama queens need not apply. And people who like to eat 3 meals a day and sleep in a heated interior room. And, the best part, it's actually freelance!

We are a high volume photo studio in need of a graphic designer/photoshop guru to join our team in the coming weeks. Our workflow is predominantly wedding photography however you will have the opportunity to do some collateral and web design work as it arises. If you happen to have prior experience designing wedding albums, contact us immediately.
The position: You will be working in Photoshop CS3 pretty much all day. You will learn/utilize spot retouching, silouhetting, color correction skills and also have many opportunities to get creative and manipulate images to really make them pop. You will be responsible for timely turnaround of design projects given to you and also for the preparation and ordering of each item the client has requested (prints, albums, etc.). You will have minimal client contact (occasional e-mail, no phone). You will learn about commercial photo printing and book binding through our vendors and also about photography since you will be surrounded by professional photographers and videographers. Other duties include uploading jobs to our servers, media duplication, and archiving.
Requirements: You should be interested/experienced in photography, have ample experience in photoshop, illustrator, lightroom, MS office suite, filemaker pro. Be proficient on MAC and PC (we are predominantly Mac - only 1 PC in the studio). You should have experience importing high-res digital photos into photoshop, a firm grasp on resolution, standard photo sizes/aspect ratios, RGB/CMYK, common sense and a propensity to learn. Be able to trouble shoot and pre-flight files before printing or sending to the lab. You should understand the freelance industry and be incorporated. Please be organized, friendly, easy to work with, intelligent, and passionate.
Us: We are a friendly team of 5 and sometimes 6 located in a comfortable, posh studio space in Massapequa, NY. We are one of the higher volume photography studios on long island and are expanding rapidly. There is minimal drama in our studio and we would prefer to keep it that way.
starting pay: $11-13/hour, dependent on experience -- full time+
