Steve C. Sweetlight 01-27-2008, 11:30 AM In response to Steves comment about his outstretched finger. Shot me back in time so I went through my poetry journal to find this. Thanks for the memory Steve. Dragonflies I remember Sitting on the tailgate Of my dad’s red, Ford, pick-up Barely big enough to get up there By myself The air was cold I could see my breath The sun was seeing The light was golden Then they came Dragonflies Lots of them Hundreds, thousands probably They surrounded me Like a swarm of fairies Sun shining on them And on my face My skin was very warm They settled on me One at a time Touching lite as a feather On my arms On my face A heavenly feeling They were eating mosquitos from my skin Steve Conway 01-27-2008, 01:10 PM In response to Steves comment about his outstretched finger.
