You really gotta be a Floridian to know a Dragonfly by that name!

These are very interesting little creatures. I've had them light on an outstretched finger.

In response to Steves comment about his outstretched finger. Shot me back in time so I went through my poetry journal to find this. Thanks for the memory Steve.

Dragonflies

I remember
Sitting on the tailgate
Of my dad’s red, Ford, pick-up
Barely big enough to get up there
By myself
The air was cold
I could see my breath
The sun was seeing
The light was golden
Then they came
Dragonflies
Lots of them
Hundreds, thousands probably
They surrounded me
Like a swarm of fairies
Sun shining on them
And on my face
My skin was very warm
They settled on me
One at a time
Touching lite as a feather
On my arms
On my face
A heavenly feeling
They were eating mosquitos from my skin

That's quite good Sweetlight. Seeing your quote from "A River Runs Through It" I thought you might just be into nice things done with words.

Thanks for posting.
