Wonderful picture Palms. I experimented with a few filters for mine. Could you tell me how you achieved that look on yours?

Thank you Gerry

For the spoonbill i used Reindeer's adaptive equalization ( most people dont have a problem getting onto the web page, but a couple of us do :bawling:)
then i made the background black ( tried white as well but didnt work )
as the feet didnt look to good, on a new layer I used the history brush at about 65% to bring back the puddle

Then used a light beam brush (obsidian dawn ).This is the bit that took me ages trying to get how i wanted it !

Thanks for the info, Palms. I got the plugin from the website. However, it does not work for me. When I expanded the sit file the plugin was there but without an extension. I copied it to the plugins folder and started PS but i didn't see it. I thought it may need an extension so I added it (.plugin) and still nothing. As you can probably tell, I'm on a Mac. I wonder if it has to do with Leopard. I also went to the Obsidian Dawn website and downloaded a few brush sets to try out on another project.

here my version
this time I wanted to reproduce "Trimoon-style" (what I like very much) and created
a new background to be so near this style as possible..

I used Gimp  on Linux

Palms, there are two versions, one for the Mac and one for the PC. I downloaded the one for the Mac twice to see if it made a difference. It didn't. I'll have to write to the company to see what the problem is. Thanks.

Something different. Watercolor with a orange tint. Of course I had to flip it.
