Hi all, my first of what will be posts to these forums, never knew it existed and yet its exactly what I love doing!! Always felt out of place in classic photography forums.. am home now LOL

Anyway, does anyone have any hints, tips or even better a tutorial on how this artist has achieved the effect int he two images below? Its a bit like the 'dragan effect' but more subtle i think.

#1 would be good lighting to start with. That makes it much easier to do your post production work. After that their are any number of ways to get this effect and they are discussed endlessly at this forum.

Hi, would you be kind enough to supply any links to threads or keywords to start searching for? Kind of need a starting point to get my teeth stuck into and searching for 'cool effect' doesn't quite work LOL, Thanks

Use the search feature here and type in Dragan effect, Dave Hill, Jim Fiscus etc. The effect you are showing is more subtle, but you have to start somewhere.

Do the same with Google. Obviously you have to be more specific.
