View Full Version : Creative Interpretations - Camouflage Swampy 02-05-2008, 02:40 PM Thought this was a great picture of Mom and the kids. Isn't mother nature's camouflage magnificent?
My version was complete reversal of everything I've ever painted. I duped the background then used the eraser with a grunge brush to erase through to a similar tawny gold filled layer. I put some line art on top set to Color Burn mode. Erase to paint? Am I getting desperate? LOL Peter S 02-05-2008, 04:05 PM Nice find Swampy and a nice rendition there - keep on erasing.
But cats!!! you know what Palms is like with cats, you want be able to stop her now.
Peter Swampy 02-05-2008, 04:08 PM Oh, Geeez... I forgot about P's cat fetish!!! I was just trying to be fair since the last project was a dog.... My appologies... LOL mikajomc 02-05-2008, 08:29 PM Oh my these are so addicting. Just like potato chips, you can't stop with just one! Another good one Swampy! I never thought of erasing to paint, how clever. And Peter, wow! love the embossed look to yours!
This is not what I sat down to do, but I'm sure you all know how that goes :) lkroll 02-05-2008, 09:21 PM Thanks for the play Dee Dee. Yes; my concocted fake smudge technique (and some AAA Enhancements). :) 0lBaldy 02-06-2008, 12:48 AM Swampy you are just multi-talented not desperate!
Peter I think I copied you some.. (only because I like what you did)
Jordan A nice planned out portraiture of the nice Kitty's I am sure.
Lyle you are quite the "Fakir" with all those fake techniques that work so well.. Looks good guy!
I tried to do a relief tile sort of thingy.. lkroll 02-06-2008, 04:54 AM Thanks OB; don't know if you've tried it yet, but there is a cool bumpmap filter from Redfield that does a pretty good job at relief enhancements. It's free too.:)

Palms Swampy 02-06-2008, 07:41 AM Palms, love the first one. Looks like it was painted on silk and has an Oriental feel. palms1 02-06-2008, 09:38 AM Sorry I hadn't finished yet :grin::grin::grin:

Palms Swampy 02-06-2008, 09:45 AM Mmmmm... Palms... #1 is my favorite of those. mikajomc 02-06-2008, 10:33 AM Nope, I don't see why anyone could say Palms has cat issues. Hmmmmm.
They're all nice Palms, but my favs are the same as Swampy's.
