I had an old photo (circa 1910) to restore that was made of metal, liken to a form of tin or aluminum bonded to a round plate-like metal. The photo consisted of a couple with their children. The children's photos appear in a red cast and appear translucent. I am very curious about this style of photography and production. The plate itself had a lot of hand-painted flowers, very beautiful and detailed. Anyone know about this style? Would love any input of knowledge.
