Back to "Swampy" normal... :-) This should make a lovely painting. A little color tweaking a little love and attention and you'll porbably come up with a pretty picture. You guys usually do.

here is my version

its mostly a mix of different blends and some erasing to exlude parts of the image.

Nice picture Swampy, as always a beautiful rendition..

Dataflow, Nice sharp details WOW!

Did my Bas relief thingy using the Redfield filter, (guess I am hooked on it!) then tried to do one without using it..

My apologies to all. Somehow this got posted in the Tutorials and not the Photo Art forum. Hopefully someone with "power" can move it? And thanks to Janet for the heads up. I hadn't even noticed.

A Painter version with an Impressionist layer snuck in there for good measure.

Was checking out the tutorial section and stumbled upon this post... HMMM! I guess Swampy wants us to try out a tutorial... so I picked Palms' "AHB = Art History Brush, For how I do my AH work look here: http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/pho...photoshop.html (http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/photo-art-resources/18653-tutorial-art-history-brush-ahb-palms-method-photoshop.html)

OOPS!! I was signed in as my Hubby.. He said, "here, you want to answer them?" and I sat down and started in.., (this probably makes no sense at all now that I deleted my previous post under his name)
Sorry! I am still learning!

Swampy, Palms tutorial was pretty clear and concise although I think I ended up with about twenty layers instead of her basic three.. I feel that combining the information from her tutorial plus the excellent information provided in your tutorials might have helped a lot.. You guys are the greatest!

Palms, I am glad you liked my effort, Thanks for sharing your techniques.. BTW, I am envious of you.. you already have flowers and none of mine have peeked through the snow yet! When they do pop out, I am sure that I can get weened off AHB and make time to play outside... (maybe!)

Lots of wonderful variations presented here from some really talented people.

So many filters/blends/smudges/ and added texture, that, I wouldn't know how to outline what I did. Call it my hodgepodge technique. :)
