I am having problems with getting the complete face reproduced. I keep losing definition. I tried outlining the photo of the person and layering it with a banana but it didn't work.

If anyone has time to take the time to step me through this with Photoshop or Paintshop Pro, I would really appreciate it.

Have you tried using a displacement map?

I just tried this on another image. I was doing wave on the sea and I don't like how they turned out. Will the displace map work for the face better as I am not distorting it? I'll give it a try anyway. BTW thanks for the info.
