Palms, it's not plagiarism, image certain technics. JONATHANL 02-20-2008, 01:16 PM here is my point of view of what an old style bike picture should look like. A little different, maybe not so artistic but with a different look like. palms1 02-20-2008, 01:27 PM here is my point of view of what an old style bike picture should look like. Palms Kraellin 02-20-2008, 10:56 PM palms, thanks :)
used my 'silver surfer' filter forge filter on the entire picture, then just erased bits to let the background shine through. fixed the wheel rim and tire with warp mesh and warp brush and a bit of airbrush and push :) lkroll 02-20-2008, 11:39 PM ...again. :) Kraellin 02-20-2008, 11:55 PM nice, lyle :)

http://www.naturephotographers.net/articles0106/dw0106-1.html
another member uses it on her portraits (mainly B&W)and gets some nice results, I tried it on my 8 month old niece and they looked good too palms1 02-21-2008, 06:41 AM All wonderful works

Hey Jordan. This is basically what I did.
-Duplicated background layer
-Rotate 90 CW
-Other-Custom-Fade 50%
-Diffuse-Anisotropic-Fade 50%
-Plastic Wrap 4-15-9
-Colored Pencil 4-15-27
-Angled Strokes 52-9-3
-Rotate 90 CCW
-Set Blend to Screen
-Duplicated that layer
-Colored Pencil 4-15-27
-Set the blending mode to Hard Light
-Merged the two layers and set to Pin Light
-Alt+Click mask and painted in strokes
I played with the colors in Lab mode.
That’s basically it.

I started out using 3 Bar Sin gradient for gradient map (GIMP Gradient of course) before running Amphisoft's Xylograph filter for the stippling step. :) pavel123 02-21-2008, 07:11 PM Palms, thank you for the photo.

Palms-thanks for the Orton link. I had never heard of him, but that is sort of what I used. A blurry layer and a sharp one. | |
