Very nice rogier and also answers the question as to whether you have impressionit :grin::grin:
Palms dkcoats 02-23-2008, 01:10 PM Rogier - thanks for the fine photo. I like your Impressionist version.
I tweaked it in CS2, then worked it over in Painter. Back to Photoshop for more tweaking and texture. grannysdc 02-23-2008, 04:27 PM I like this picture, it was fun to work on.. Thanks for the play "rogier". Two versions from me.
The first I tried Palms AHB method (http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/photo-art-resources/18653-tutorial-art-history-brush-ahb-palms-method-photoshop.html#post165499).
The second just PS7 Filters mikajomc 02-23-2008, 06:50 PM I am loving this thread!

Joe Terrific photo, rogier -- an excellent candidate for artification. Peter S 02-24-2008, 05:17 PM Nice pic to do this one.

Really like your rendition.
Pavel alexmeta 02-25-2008, 07:16 PM Thank you, Pavel. Kraellin 02-25-2008, 10:46 PM lonk, that's wonderful. love that watercolor sky :)
and peter, not real crazy about the sails but that sky is incredible!
i always like to go on first impressions. when i first looked at this image (great image, btw. love that you put up such a great and clear pic of a sailing rig!), i saw a fleet.
now, if you think hair extractions are difficult, try doing one on this ship. all that rigging...ugh! nonetheless, i saw a fleet, so it had to be done :)
thus mine isnt so much an art piece as a manipulation piece, though i did re-light things a bit. Thanks, Craig. I love your fleet rendition. More work there than meets the eye I'm sure. Very well done! Peter S 02-26-2008, 01:57 PM peter, not real crazy about the sails but that sky is incredible!

Thanks Craig, I know what you mean about the sails, but the sea was rougher than it looked and my hands were shaky. :)
Peter Kraellin 02-26-2008, 08:02 PM thanks, lonnie :) and yes, it was a bit of work.
peter :D rogier 02-27-2008, 04:30 AM Wow, I must thank jou all, for this nice work on the picture.
