Help! I can't find some Impressionist info that I've seen somewhere.
It was not specific info about styles, but general info to keep in mind while experimenting. The only one I can remember is to click "use brush family" whenever it was available. It went through all the options and just gave general info about them.
I have searched everywhere here at RetouchPro. Either I'm missing it or it came from somewhere else.
Please, please, does anyone know what I'm talking about? I hope I'm not just losing my mind? :)
Thanks!!

The built-in HELP is a wealth of information, with descriptions of all the options and controls and general hints/tips.
Let us know if that's what you're looking for.

I have Vista and the Impressionist help won't work. Is there anywhere online I could find it?
thanks!Very interesting...First I have heard of Impressionist problems of this nature with Vista.
Does "won't work" = nothing happens when you click the Help button or an error message is displayed? If the latter, what is the text of the error msg.? (It could be used in a Google search.)
Plan B:
Instead of engaging the help file (imprsnst.hlp) via the Help button, try opening it directly by double-clicking on it. This file should be in the same folder as the plugin (.8bf) file. See the attachment.

Thanks for your help Danny.
It turns out, to read the old .hlp files you need to download the executable from the Microsoft website. They don't supply it with Vista. So I did, and I can read the help files for Impressionist now.
I know it wasn't the help file I saw, since it wasn't working for me.
So its still bugging me that I can't find that post or whatever it was that I saw. But this is better than nothing :)
thanks again!

Glad you got HELP sorted out. :)
Was there an error msg or "nuthin' happened"?

The Vista Help window opened up. (And by that, I mean Help for other programs.) Only there was no help info. Instead there was an error message saying WinHlp32.exe was needed. I realized it was pointing me to the Microsoft website. Downloaded the file, problem solved.
