Thanks for the play PST, with sketch painted back in on a layer set to color burn, then hue sat adjustment to that layer. PST of car on a layer above. kimlou 03-02-2008, 01:26 PM Like it Swampy, that Firebird is just begging to be brought out from the background. Thanks for posting on my first thread! lkroll 03-02-2008, 01:59 PM Went for the "Sin City" look this time. Added the sparkles too. :) palms1 03-02-2008, 02:02 PM Super looking cars there used fake hdr on this (or fitymi ) Palms Peter S 03-02-2008, 02:47 PM OOOOh shiny car had to do it, thanks Kimlou Peter kimlou 03-03-2008, 03:18 AM Some fab versions here, great to see other peoples' interpretations of my own pics!! Peter, love the effect you have got on the car, and the trees for that matter. Palms, what method did you use, not sure what fake hdr is. Ik, loving the sparkles!! Thanks all! palms1 03-03-2008, 05:45 AM Palms, what method did you use, not sure what fake hdr is. I Thanks all! I used the software from here, http://www.mediachance.com/hdri/fakehdr.html There is the full version or a plug in for fake hdr(fitymi) which is tone mapping a single jpeg, also the trial version is quite handy to get to know the process ( to make a "proper" hdr you need at least 3 shots of the same image but with different exposures ) hope that helps you Palms kimlou 03-03-2008, 11:44 AM Thanks for the useful link Palms. DannyRaphael 03-03-2008, 12:32 PM This thread brought back many memories... Attached is a pic of the car I bought in 1971, a 1970 Dodge Challenger. Sold it in 1984. Wish I still had it. (Wish I still had my hair, too! LOL). Heavy sigh... scoresbaby 03-03-2008, 12:50 PM I wish I had a dodge chalenger. Steve Conway 03-03-2008, 01:32 PM The name is Bond...James Bond.... Peter S 03-03-2008, 02:38 PM I was looking to change the colour, but then red IS a good colour for these. Peter kimlou 03-04-2008, 07:10 AM I was looking to change the colour, but then red IS a good colour for these. Peter It would almost be a crime to change the colour!:) LonK 03-04-2008, 12:44 PM Hitchin' a ride on an Interstellar Ferry... kimlou 03-06-2008, 02:56 AM Nice to see something a bit different Lonnie, I like how it almost looks like the colour of the car is reflected on the roof of the ship. LonK 03-06-2008, 01:02 PM Thank you Kimlou. To avoid stagnation, I do endeavor to try "different" approaches. And you are right, the red tint on the ceiling in my rendition was meant to simulate a glowing effect. I did enjoy working with your terrific car photos. Please keep them coming. Here's one of my interpretations of your Aston Martin photo... |
