Dmax Imaging, located in downtown San Francisco, is looking for second shift image manipulation operators. Excellent color (CMYK and RGB) and retouching skills required. CGI and Flash experience a strong plus. Full time permanent employment with great pay and benefits for those who can work cooperatively in a very fast paced team environment. Interested? Please forward a resume, cover letter and portfolio link to jobs@dmaximaging.com No calls or faxes please.

"Image manipulation operators" thats one hell of a patronising job title if you are looking for people with experience. Operators are button pushers. Oh yes and you can pay them rubbish too

Hey, be nice. These companies are coming to this site. I bet a lot of the people on this site would love a job like that. So don't discourage co.'s from posting. People rely on these postings.

I agree. They say "great pay and benefits" and if I wanted to work in that area of the state I might want to know the detail instead of jumping to conclusions. So please don't discourage companies that may provide real employment opportunities for our members.
Thanks

Guess I got nothing to lose by querying what a photo amendment technician is supposed to do, I live in London anyway. Quality of life here is ... anyway changing the subject, boutique hopefully means lazy and over specialised.

As you probably know, we have ways of butchering the Queen's English.

No probs, butcher away. Just be careful when you ask her to take her to take her crown off again, especially when she thinks its called a tiara

She's the Queen, damnit, she gets to call it anything she wants.

You know, as soon as I move to SF, the earth will shake and destroy all the Chinese restaurants.

The same ad was posted on Craigslist in LA on 3/10/08. The title asked for retouchers, so not sure what they were really looking for.
