The negative for this black and white photo has seriously deteriorated.
Is it possible to restore this photo? I can't even imagine how to keep
the brick work in the photo. This is a house a friend grew up in.
He has asked for my assistance. I can't restore this and anyone is
welcome to try if they care too.

I am not a retoucher, but the picture could be improved. It would be helpful to have a larger picture.

It will take a lot of time and patience but you can certainly make big improvements.

I fooled around with a bit, made a new sky, street and some sidewalk. Did a little cloning and painting over, but there is a long, long way to go. I also tried using a picture of a brick wall from the internet as a source. Far from perfect but it might give you some ideas.
