I have over ten years of professional experience in Photo Retouching. I believe I'm excellent at what I do and I really enjoy it.

I would like to make more money than what I am earning now in NYC.

Can anyone suggest some companies or modeling agencies that would hire for high salaries?

any headshots i've ever done were just favors for friends, never heard of that sort of thing paying "high salaries"

Do you really have 10 years experience? Why don't you know already? Just curious. There's a retoucher where I work who claims to have 6 years experience but doesn't know more than me. I only have one year of experience working full time as a retoucher.

Why are you looking at modeling agencies? You should be looking at digital houses, production houses, possibly rental houses. Get involved with APA and ASMP in NYC. Also, if you have 10 years of experience, that doesn't mean much in this industry. It depends on what you've been doing those 10 years. I retouch for a variety of clients including some of the biggest retailers in the nation. I see jobs go from anywhere around $15/hr to $300/hr, depending on the client, job, usage, budget, etc. It's all relative.
