I have a bit of a dilemma about Photoshop CS3. I currently have CS2 with Dreamweaver CS3. I do a few websites as an avocation and I really like the CS2 gif animations that export to Flash in ImageReady. Clearly CS3 standard or extended do not have ImageReady nor its equivalents in gif and Flash functions. Most of the work i do is in restoration of old (ancient) family photos circa 1860 and up through the 1940's or so. I really like many of the new selection features, interface etc. of CS3.
My question is, "Am I able to upgrade to CS3 standard and keep CS2 on the same machine (Windows XP) just for those times where I need certain features? Or, do I need to find another solution." I do not want to fork out another $300 (Adobe Fireworks) for additional program just for the animation and gif features.
Any thoughts about the upgrade issue?
Thanks Tom Wright
