Hey Guys,
I've been working with a brand spanking new Wacom Cintiq 24 inch screen/tablet thingy for the last week and I'm really enjoying it.
Just wondering if anyone else is using these things as well, and if there's some nice tips and tricks for these things?
How is it with your "hand in the way" all the time? How about screen smudges and gunk? I just replaced the surface of my Wacom 12 x 12 as it was quite worn through in spots. Can't imagine how that would be with an actual screen that you'd presumably be scratching on repeatedly. I like the idea of it, but I do think it's going to have it's issues. I've yet to see one in person.

It's pretty sturdy so far, and the smudging is minimal.
The only REALLY annoying thing is that I'm lefthanded and all the scroll bars are on the right hand side (most things are geared towards the right hand) so yeah my hand gets in the way quite a bit. Then again, I'm getting used to it still and I must say for actually doing work on the image it's amazingly great. for some reason it really feels a lot more direct and precise.
Also a little downside that I just figured out a way around:
I'm used to working with 2 screens, sadly since this is a tablet/screen I can't use it to navigate onto my second screen.... So now I have a small wacom on the side just mapped to my second screen.
You can adjust the height/tilt really easily and that's nice (you can lie on it if you want and it's nice and warm so for those late night it can be nice :P)

I'm left handed.
I have high ph levels from my hands.
I play guitar and have to replace strings every show
because of this.
I don't think the Cintiq is for me. :(

it's the 21" screen, but the edge around the screen adds a bit :)
I was wrong in declaring it was 24". DOH.
