Christine@CRWmedia.com camilla_k 04-08-2008, 03:41 PM wrong place to boost about yourself. find a model or a photographer forum or something.... sorry mate yangez 04-08-2008, 03:43 PM Yeah, I don't understand why people come to a retoucher's forum to sell retouching services. That's about as effective as holding up a gun store. Insensitive. 04-08-2008, 04:16 PM Or selling tanner to alek wek.
Im african american myself so dont take that the wrong way other african americans lol. Ziaphra 04-09-2008, 05:44 AM How rude can you guys get?! Did you even read the description of this forum: Post job openings, your resume, or try to sell/buy retouching/restoration related items. Yeah, I don't understand why people come to a retoucher's forum to sell retouching services. That's about as effective as holding up a gun store.

U told this tale at the right place but it'd be easier to find inquiring with examples(IMO) jagerman 04-09-2008, 09:33 AM I do not think anyone is reading the description. This is a forum for posting jobs, resumes, etc... camilla_k threw the same response at me when I posted my info in here. She sounds bitter about something. Mate Hendrik 04-09-2008, 10:15 AM I (as a photograper) would not hire anyone without a good online portfolio. So I suggest starting on that if you don't have one. :P Like this? http://www.attematic.com Benny Profane 04-09-2008, 07:49 PM Yeah, I don't understand why people come to a retoucher's forum to sell retouching services. yes... i am awfully bitter. jeez
no, on a serious note. if i seemed rude, i apologize. that was not my intension.
however, this is a forum for retouchers. why try to sell yourself to a bunch of people that do the same as yourself. contact photographers, agencies, models etc. not other retouchers.... think about it
and yes, i DO KNOW what a classified forum is. but use your head a little....
and if you dont like it, too bad... mate! mfischer 04-11-2008, 03:43 AM however, this is a forum for retouchers...
Warning! this is a retoucher-only forum! If you are a photographer who came from google or another search engine looking to book a "retouch pro" close your eyes now!
Immediately! Velocity Arts 04-11-2008, 10:58 AM yes... i am awfully bitter. jeez

Actually Camilla,
companies that deal with retouching do come here to scout potential talent for their projects. I have been on this forum only of very recent and it has already done me quite well indeed.
Best of luck to others.
-Peter Ive actually gotten several inquiries and from my post...
That's because this is a classifieds forum for retouching - resumes, etc.
Photographers read this web site.
good luck vapman 04-17-2008, 03:07 AM I was kinda seeing things through Camilla's perspective: why advertise in a place full of retouchers? will it be worthy? i mean, there's so many of them here, right? After reading this discussion though, i now see i was being a bit pessimistic. This section actually exists for retouchers to advertise and reach potential clients, and its free too, so its not like you're spending money that you would use better somewhere else. Im gonna post my services too and see what happens. Should have done it earlier.
Thank you guys for helping me see clearer. pggphoto 05-15-2008, 04:25 AM Surely if a photographer was looking for a retoucher this is one of the first places they would come seeing as there is a wide choice of retouchers? If I wanted to buy a gun I would go to a gun store. vapman 05-16-2008, 03:27 AM that it! you said it all :) | |
