I've made many blunders like this myself. Good thing I only do this as a hobby!

it makes you wonder who did the QC for some of those images...

This stuff is outrageous. I am so glad I sweat the details with my work. Some of these are just so funny and to think they made through many rounds of creative development and proofing and still showed up in print.

just shows that retouchers are human too

People have their days I guess. I wonder though how many of these are actual Photoshop Disasters or AD's gone haywire. After all, a retoucher only does what he is told to do.
