I have cs3 and LAB does not work. I have a problem with the blend mode functionality as well, but restarting photoshop fixes that. The problem with LAB is that the main color channel just shows black. Does anyone else have this problem? Has anyone found a fix other than reinstalling?
That happened to me. :bigthmb:
As I remember it was some plug-in that was causing the trouble.
If you recently installed some new plug-in, turn it off (put a "_" in front of the folder)
Otherwise turn off all plug-ins and re-enable one-by-one until you find the offender.

K it's in my cs2 plugins folder. I have bunches in there. What do you mean put the folder in quotes?
Oops, it wasn't an underscore it's a tilde.
Rename the folder with the offending plug-ins, or the plug-in itself.
Like this:
Digimarc ---> ~Digimarc
That way you don't need to delete the plug-in; Photoshop will just ignore the folder when scanning.

OK, just in case anyone else has this issue. I had my cs3 looking in my cs2 plugins folder. Two folders in that folder were causing the problems. They were:extensions and file formats. I put the tilda in front of the file name and now I have lab and the layer blend mode problem is gone.
I owe ya a beer byro.
OK, next time you're in Brazil look me up. :bigthmb:
