Hi all - I am a newbie form Central Coast Australia. Love this interesting site and all the new ideas. Hope to get up to the good standard of what I see here.

At present I am practising doing up two photos for an elderly neighbour. One I have successfully fixed but this attached honeymoon photo of Keith and wife (with pale patch on face) has me going in circles. Along with all the other necessary fixes.

Not sure of what you were looking for. Adjusted levels and then dodge. A little unsharpen and then high pass. Needs quite a bit more work but again I'm not sure of what you were looking for.

Colour correct your pic first. Then select the patch on the face and copy it to it's own layer. Use the bottom sliders in Levels to match the rest of the skin on her face.

I though that I would give this a shot. Did a level adjustment on the whole photo. then select the affected face area, and do a separate level adjustment. Do some healing and then add some color.

Thank you for that - it is certainly a great improvement on what I did. Just could not seem to get that face change right. It still showed (as a colour variation of some sort)no matter what I did. I do not have the full expertise in this area.

This was my try. Afterposting my first effort I noticed that the right eye (left in pic) had something that was not right about the lower part of the eye so I borrowed from the other eye and then used the liquify tool to open the eyes.
