I downloaded one for free and if you go for more they want you to pay. Rhasval 04-17-2008, 12:44 PM After download one file for free you have to wait some time, around 20 minutes, to download next one for free. Rapidshare ussualy shows a message in red telling you to pay or wait certain amount of minutes.
Thanks CMS, great pics to practice on. They have a great resolution to work. I give them a try as soon as have have some time. pixel_monkey 04-17-2008, 12:45 PM I downloaded one for free and if you go for more they want you to pay.
No, you just have to wait longer. It shows you how long you have to wait to download the next one. Usually, after you downloaded a 100MB file it'll require you to wait for about 120 minutes before you can download again. Paying eliminates the wait time and allows you to have multiple downloads at once.
Thank you for sharing more files. gmitchel 04-17-2008, 01:34 PM You can use MediaFire for free downloads.
Mitch MacBurg 04-17-2008, 04:58 PM Forget rapidshare, waste of time and the most annoying way to share files, create an account and use Mediafire for life. i know, but her chin wasn't symmetrical, maybe i only had to make it symmetrical and not more feminine (round) so she would have a symm. chin but it will be still the same structure?
check image, i fixed the bone structure of her chin. hubiii 04-20-2008, 04:05 AM nice work ruud :D

www.edgarmaivel.com lilysharon 04-20-2008, 10:41 PM How do you open the files so you get the high resolution photo?
I've downloaded it but it shows up as a small file in Photoshop. hubiii 04-20-2008, 11:30 PM maybe you need raw conventer .... ?? what version you have ? cs? 7 ? i have cs3 and tiffs working fine lilysharon 04-20-2008, 11:33 PM I'm using PSCS. I tried irfan View also with no difference. JavierT 04-21-2008, 01:22 AM I'm using PSCS. I tried irfan View also with no difference.
You need ACR 4.0 or later. Photoshop CS have an earlier version and thats the reason cause you canīt open correctly the file. This raw is from a Phase One Digital Back and you can run it with Capture One too.
The other way, probably, is save it like dng file and then you have the posibility to open and play with it.
Day by day, new different or updated dslr cameras and digital backs appears in the market, and software producers like adobe have to update the software (ACR plugin) to include the new files generated.
Hope it helps....Javier JavierT 04-21-2008, 01:30 AM Good job Ruud. I like it a lot. Looks great.
KR reminds me a model we have been working in a fashion shooting (I rent digital backs and works with a photographer like digital asistant). I asked the photographer about the "two separate teeth", too separate, and he said to me:
"Thats the reason cause we are working with her". Sometimes, you are looking for something different. JavierT 04-21-2008, 02:44 PM First of all, thanks a lot to CMS. Great pictures.

Phase One P 30 is a digital module than can be adapted to different medium format camera like Mamiya , Hasselblad, Contax and other. This module replace the well known film casette from the camera.BUT nice part is that you can use the back like a polaroid and then load the film holder and feel alive again.Digital will never beat analog. In musical instruments is the same. pixelzombie 04-24-2008, 12:47 AM Phase One P 30 is a digital module than can be adapted to different medium format camera like Mamiya , Hasselblad, Contax and other. This module replace the well known film casette from the camera.BUT nice part is that you can use the back like a polaroid and then load the film holder and feel alive again.Digital will never beat analog. In musical instruments is the same.
from what you posted i see that digital is getting very close if not better than film, but it's not an item i can afford for home use which is why i still use my film cameras... JavierT 04-24-2008, 01:54 AM I have been looking your pictures (CMS) and is a very good result.
I donīt like the battle between digital and analogic, but I think that, in most situations and jobs, digital backs has high end enough quality.
I am a still life photographer and work with Imacon Digital Back. I work with four shots technology, getting incredible results (perfect textures) and have the posibility to work with 16 shots technology, getting a 384 16 bit file without interpolation.
Never heard from a client saying: " Ohhhh, sorry, but we donīt have enough quality". Normally they said to me things like: "384 mb? Please, next time give me a smaller file, my computer canīt work quickly with that kind of files".
About using a P30 like Polaroid....... Wow, I am sure you have a lot of work and high rate per day to do that, LOL. Digital backs are expensive and with very short life if your clients wants always "The last" ( Crazy Megapixel race: more megapixels-better pics)
Cms, I am busy this week, but next week I will try another pic. Thanks a lot, again. RokcetScientist 04-24-2008, 03:56 AM Tip:
next time you may want to use either http://www.podmailing.com/ (FREE, no size limits), or http://www.pando.com (FREE, 1GB size limit), to make large files available to others on the web without the nags, the confusion, and the waiting times of RapidShare.
Also, you can zip TIFF files before uploading to shrink the file size without image quality loss. KR1156 04-24-2008, 08:50 AM I haven't seen any digital shots (overall) beat out or match film yet. there's just something about film. it's just more natural. and captures greater details and color gradations in my opinion. Hello_taipan 04-24-2008, 11:13 AM what bothers me with digital backs, is that they're slow, compared to the 20MP eos 1ds mark III, even though it's another type of camera, and a different way of working.
1,5 image/s, then wait for the transfert to computer, then load up images into the software for preview; lightroom or capture one for most.
can't wait for the 40/50 mp reflex.. DWThomp 04-25-2008, 05:39 AM CMS - thank you for the opportunity to work on this type of image. Very lovely lady. Comments/critiques welcome.

You are right.THEY ARE SLOW.But you must see the advantage.More time to look for details, composing the image, model posing etc.The old school way.I have grown up with film and i have embraced digital from the begining.
Even with this type of performance digital will never be able to compete with gorgeus, aleatoire way of silver chemicals.NEVER.NEVER <NEVER. Digital is for making money.Just that. hubiii 04-27-2008, 06:46 AM my version :D

Why let someone else make money off of your downloads?
http://express.payloadz.com/?mode=adv
... I hate rapidshare. If anyone should be making money off of the downloads it's the content creator. I have nothing against free and unlimited hosting sites just thought I would throw this one in as an option too :) I could have pasted the link that would give me reseller credit through the site but I don't feel like doing something that could get me banned here  alex.justino 05-12-2008, 05:27 PM i forgot to attach the picture

Best regards, Udo JD Spears 05-15-2008, 11:17 PM watch how far you go with the shaping rudd....these models are usually chosen for their bone structure.
Not trying to be argumentative but I am curious to understand the ethics involved. What appears to be more of a commercial image rather then a portrait. Is it not alright to make changes to the bone structure? I feel that Ruuds first post on this thread with the exception of the bottom lip made her look more refine and attractive. Can anybody explain the do's and don't as far as the ethics side of the retouching business? JavierT 05-16-2008, 12:59 AM Not trying to be argumentative but I am curious to understand the ethics involved. What appears to be more of a commercial image rather then a portrait. It depends.
I think Rudd did a very good work with this model, and I like a lot his result, the model looks great, better and so so atractive. Now, the question comes:
Was a good Idea reshaping the chin? In this case, yes.
If this retouch was for a client, here you have the "it depends". Like KR said, sometimes you have a model casting where you are looking for something (bones, the girl with the two teeth too separate i have posted, ......). In this case, reshaping is not a good idea and solution, cause the cliente or the art director says: No!!!
I think we have no general rules for this matter. Each fashion work have a particular target, and the photographer and the art director have to speak with the retoucher and explain it to him/her, cause the retoucher donīt know it.
Last week I have been in Egypt in a fashion editorial working with a photographer and, in this case, we have been shooting with a wideangle lens very close to the models face. Is this correct? No. But the photographer was trying to get a particular picture, cause the model have a very special shape in her face. The result: fantastic.
So, no strict rules in this matter. Sometimes, rules finish where the creativity begins.
Sorry for my English. lehmannudo 05-16-2008, 01:27 AM Hallo,

Multumesc frumos pentru pozele superbe./Thanks a lot for the beautiful photos. :) dodezaine 06-09-2008, 07:15 PM Good night, before anything else, would like to introduce myself here because I think few people read the texts in the salon. I am of the south of Brazil, work with photshop about 10 years and in the last ones 4 came fashion photographer, today I have a small design studio that produces, photographs, retouch and sets up catalogs for small companies of the region.
Speaking about the picture, what I didn't do was stop to detail that all of the princiantes stop, as removing stains of the skin, and kneaded of clothes.
I preferred to retouch more the colors skin in general, I was on top more or less for 1 hour. I worked with gaussian blur, hight pass, overlay, brightness, contrast and saturation. I painted a good part of the skin also.
