I have just finished this picture. What do you think? Any suggestions for improvement?

Hi Keiser, that is a nice photo.
What I notice first is the lips and that they look sore or chapped, if you fix them up first with the healing tool or something, and fix any other problems before you smudge, you will have less work.
The eyes look a little large too.

Thanks, it is a picture of my son. He has excema and it seems his lips are always chapped and red looking. I know I should have fixed his lips first, but when I started I was just practicing. As for his eyes, all I did was lighten and add a catch light. I guess that is why they look bigger.

Nicely done, Keiser, although you might want to soften a bit some sharp edges (clothes) and the hair.

Just a reminder about the catch lights in the eyes.. natural high lights will be at the roundest (bulgiest) part of the eye.. If you put them off to the side it will make the eye seem to bulge out in the wrong place and look strange.. whenever putting back the highlights in the eyes keep them as close to the original as possible.. if there were none to start with in the first place.. then select a natural area that would be bulging out the farthest to place the catch lights.. this goes the same for lips, cheeks, nose or any other area that would shine
