.... or a scene from a wildlife garden (more wild than garden).
You've had Garlic so I thought why not this.

First one from me just darkened smoothed and applied Luce A freebie (again) plug-in (can be found here http://amicoperry.altervista.org/luce/main.html )
not sure exactly what goes with this plug-in but some of the effects are very good, don't be put of by the small preview pic it shows, as its very low res.

Definitely not Opium, God I'd have the police round, don't want that.
It would have looked a little better with water as your pics show (sorry miss the joke)??
I did try to do an HDR with this and kept messing it up.
Your Poppies a little ahead of mine but give it a week and we'll catch up, these are usually about 10-12 cm dia. and frilly edged - lovely the are.
Never say sorry for posting pics in my threads, anyone want to do them, go ahead no probs.
A monkey back I see a Parrots beak facing out. (Palms won't see that of course).

OB

Lots of detail there, nice masking, that must have taken some time to do.

My typing finger need a rest now.

Well Peter and Vitalli both your poppies have grown more than mine, I havent any buds yet!

Vitalli I see what your son means, (to be polite his posterior)

Also opium does come from poppies but a certain species ( to late in the day for Latin )

as i have run out of time will be back tomorrow now !

edit:
I just realized this was under photo-based art. So to stick with the theme I pumped out a painted poppy.

Thanks for posting.

Well thank you for the compliments! I think it may have just been beginners luck on the bloom. It's our first poppy. It's in our butterfly garden we just planted a little over a month ago.

Almost from the minute I saw this post, I knew what I wanted to do. After extracting the poppy head from the original picture, I combined it with a poppy I had painted a couple of years ago.

Thanks for the great picture to play with.
