Does this plotter achieve the contract proof accuracy if it's calibrated?

AdamZx3 05-08-2008, 04:24 PM I was looking into that one a while ago, I believe it comes pretty close when using there recommended rip. They also have an auto calibration process. It has problems printing out B+W print's without a color cast, but but I recall there are special drivers you can use to get it to print better. However that printer's been around a long time, and might soon be outdated. I would look into the Epson 7880, it is SWOP certified when used with the ColorBurst rip. I have sample prints from both printers and I favor the Epson and would consider it a better choice. The printing shop I work at uses an HP Z3100 for proofs and it matches spot on, however I would look into the 7880 with the colorburst rip combo. What do U think about my original question: has this hp the ability to achive the contract proof quality with a gmg rip? |
